International Journalism Essay Topics
International Journalism Essay TopicsInternational journalism is a unique form of essay writing that will allow you to explore various topics related to the field of international journalism. This type of essay can be as varied as the places from which the author learned about their subject and the resources they use to find their information. It is not uncommon for an international journalism student to write an essay covering topics as varied as China, Japan, the Balkans, Brazil, France, Mexico, Korea, and India. The first step to essay writing for the particular topic is to come up with a central theme for the essay. One way to do this is to decide on the area of the globe where the student is going to focus on. A broader area could include more subjects or look at specific events and places in a larger context. Once the topic is decided, the essay should center on how the author relates his or her knowledge to the subject in question. One way to make sure the writer has a connectio n between their topic and their writing is to examine the other topics that were discussed by the author in their essay. When these writers mention other topics, it is often because they have used that particular subject in another essay. If the writer cannot relate to the subject in the essay because he or she was not exposed to the facts or examples in the essay, the reader may lose interest. If they cannot relate to the information because the topic has been covered by another essay already, it is a bad sign. There are a variety of different types of essays related to the areas of coverage. There are those written to discuss specific events. There are also those focused on broad definitions of the types of situations that can be addressed by the essay. Other types of essay topics include those that address the scope of the questions or information that are being discussed. In order to properly focus on the essay, it is important to consider and write a detailed outline. The outline should include the main topic of the essay, any outside resources the author will be using, and the nature of the arguments being presented. The reader will most likely want to stop and read through all of the information contained in the essay. The reader should feel like the writer has made a logical case for the topic and they have taken the time to put forth the correct information for the reader to understand.Once the outline is completed, the essay is considered complete. However, it is important that the writers work together on the text. The same should be true of the question-answer format for the essay. This is crucial as the writing process moves along. Many times the writer will invite the students to a discussion group, where a small group will meet to write a rough draft of the essay. This allows the writing group to meet and exchange ideas and brainstorming sessions. After meeting on a few occasions, the groups will begin to bond and the drafts of the final drafts wil l become more refined and polished. As the students become more familiar with the different essays related to the different topics covered in the class, the writer will start to get more specific about their area of coverage. They will begin to ask more questions and dig deeper into the different subjects that will be covered in the final essays. As the writers begin to connect their writing to their knowledge of the topics, their writing will come together to create one cohesive piece.

The Problem Of Drug And / Alcohol Addiction - 858 Words
In a world where addiction is a somewhat ââ¬Ëtabooââ¬â¢ topic, it is hard to open up and converse with perspective employers, on what issues you have in your personal world. Thank God for the chance to heal a large part of those issues prior to seeking new employment. (And, I suggest that you do) Recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction is not easy as it is, so it is immensely imperative that you make the necessary considerations before looking to jump head first into the workforce again. Yes, there are going to be people who just continue working, albeit poorly, while they struggle through the physical and mental discomfort that comes along with stopping active use. Those cases are the exception to the norm, not something that you should expect. In fact, many people find the need to take time away from working to order to get a full grasp on their addiction. (I would highly recommend that decision) With the time away from work accompanying the painfully nerve-wracking ceasing of use, returning seems to be frightening and overwhelming to several addicts. Therefore, it is important that you make the best possible choices for YOU. Taking care to look introspectively at what will allow you the best chance at a sustainable recovery verses a temporary period of abstaining. Three Months! Ninety Days! Linear Momentum Essays - Classical Mechanics, Mechanics,
Linear Momentum Measurements of velocity and mass of two objects colliding, support the conservation of linear momentum. The dynamics of different masses distinguish velocity values experimentally. Video recordings of two colliding masses can be manipulated to extract frames displaying distance verses time. Computer software enables us to derive the velocity. Different masses were tested to determine an increase, decrease, or equal effect. From this data, we ultimately derive the momentum of each cart and test the Law of Linear momentum. The following trials were measured: 1. An elastic collision with a cart moving at constant speed with a cart of equal mass originally at rest; 2. An elastic collision with a car moving at constant speed and a cart of one-third the mass originally at rest. 3. An elastic collision with a cart of three times the mass originally at rest; 4. An inelastic collision with a cart moving at constant speed and a cart of two times the mass originally at rest. Procedure Materials: *quick cam *software *two carts of equal mass *two 500g weight blocks *track Steps: 1. Set-up camera according to the correct settings noted in 3.4 (pp. 19) 2. Establish four points of reference visible in the camera frame. Place the initial motionless cart at the second reference point from the end opposite of the oncoming cart. Record an elastic collision with a cart moving at constant speed with a cart of equal mass originally at rest. 3. Save the video (refer to 3.4 pp.19 for instructions). 4. Open video point to begin analysis of the motion (3.4.1 pp. 19-20). 5. Construct a distance vs. time graph, and a velocity vs. time graph for (A) the cart in motion before the collision (B) the cart(s) in motion after the collision. Three sets of the distance and velocity graphs may be required. 6. On the velocity vs. time graph, find the average velocity; click the "F" button on the top right-hand side of the graph and select "average". Print both graphs - distance, velocity. 7. Repeat this procedure from the step number two for the entire four scenarios. 8. The mass of each cart is 500 grams. The mass of each block is 500 grams. Results In the first scenario, with both masses equal, momentum is virtually conserved with a P of 0.0035kgm/s. The second scenario contains a cart three times the mass as the other. Our information concludes that P equals 0.0735 as the initial cart continues in the same direction after collision. So far our measurement supports the law of momentum conservation. The third scenario involves the opposite mass components of the second scenario; the initial mass in motion is one-third the mass of the motionless cart. The P is -0.1655kgm/s as the original moving mass changes direction after collision. The collision in the fourth scenario is inelastic. The components stick together and have the same ending velocity although starting masses were different; the cart at rest is one-half the mass of the cart moving towards it. The resulting P equals -.3013kgm/s. This indicates a large difference in the initial momentum verses the final momentum. In the video, the two carts came to rest 20cm from collision. The experimental results vary in accuracy according to the theoretical results. In an elastic collision, one expects the momentum to be conserved. However, we found our P off by a range of 0.0035kgm/s to -0.1655kgm/s. We found this error partially due to the points that were graphed. Some exceeded the range of motion that was needed to calculate. The other margin of error may be due to the small distance between the reference points. In the inelastic collision, energy is lost, perhaps to thermal energy. This might explain the large P.

Marxism Today Essay Essays
Marxism Today Essay Essays Marxism Today Essay Essay Marxism Today Essay Essay Marxism in China China has been noted as a promising emerging country with its competitiveness being acknowledged by world economic giants. Over the decades China has been developing Marxism has been an attractive option for its leaders. Deng Xiaoping instituted many reforms that would see the state engage in Marxism activities and decisions. There were numerous foreign investment made, joint ventures, as well as the development of state-owned enterprises, which saw an increase in the nations middle class (Booth, 2013). Technology was rapidly adopted whereas the industries experienced massive changes in their methods. The working class, however, were paid low wages. There were also quite some workers making it easier for them to be exploited. China was characterized by rural-urban migration, which ensured that the oversupply of labor in the rapidly growing cities maintained the low wages. Marxism is attractive due to its model of having the economy expand and grow regardless of the uneven socio-econo mic developments. Capitalism saw Chinas economy grow so rapidly (Khan, 2013). The leaders may find Marxism is attractive as a way to maintain the status quo of the leaders while it can still benefit the whole economy if the skilled labor in China continues to offer their services at low wages.; Tocqueville would point out the challenges Marxism has brought on to China today. He would point out the need for liberty to be attained in China and not the pro-capitalist influential voices that continue to reign. Tocqueville would advise China to be more empathetic and sympathetic towards the disadvantaged. He would not fail to acknowledge China;s prowess in administration, which has led to efficient growth but would associate it with the lack of liberalism turning people into subjects rather than citizens. Tocqueville would still advocate for the government of China to be controlled by the learned aristocracy as to him it would allow solutions to be found on the current state of Chinas affairs (Liao, 2013). The Definition and Significance of the Walrasian Auctioneer
The Definition and Significance of the Walrasian Auctioneer A Walrasian auctioneer is a hypothetical market-maker who matches suppliers and demanders to get a single price for a good in perfect competition. One imagines such a market-maker when modeling a market as having a single price at which all parties can trade. The Work of LonWaltras To understand the function and relevance of the Walrasian auctioneer in the study of economics, one must first understand the context in which the Walrasian auctioneer appears: the Walrasian auction. The concept of the Walrasian auction first appeared as the design of French mathematical economist Là ©on Walras.à Walras is famed in the field of economics for his formulation of the marginal theory of value and the development of the general equilibrium theory. It was in response to a specific problem that eventually leads Walras to the work that would develop into the theory of general equilibrium and the concept of the Walrasian auction or market. Walrasà set out to solve a problem originally presented by the French philosopher and mathematician Antoine Augustinà Cournot. The problem was that while it could be established that prices would equate to supply and demand in individual markets, it could not be demonstrated that such an equilibrium existed in all markets at the same time (a state otherwise known as general equilibrium). Through his work, Walras eventually developed a system of simultaneous equations which ultimately presented the concept of the Walrasian auction.à Walrasian Auctions and Auctioneers As introduced by Là ©onà Walas, a Walrasian auction is a kind of simultaneous auction in which each economic agent or actor calculates the demand for a good at every conceivable price then presents this information to the auctioneer. With this information, the Walrasian auctioneer sets the price of the good to ensure that the supply is equivalent to the total demand across all of the agents. This perfectly matched supply and demand are known as equilibrium, or general equilibrium when the state exists overall and across all markets, not just the market for the good in question. As such, the Walrasian auctioneer is the person conducting the Walrasian auction who effectively matches that supply and demand based upon the bids provided by the economic agents.à Such an auctioneer renders the process of finding trading opportunities perfect and cost-free which result in perfect competition in the market. Inà contrast, outside of a Walrasian action, there might exist a search problem in which there is a stochastic cost of finding a partner to trade with and additional transactions costs when one does meet such a partner.à ââ¬â¹ One of the key principles of the Walrasian auction is that its auctioneer operates within the context of perfect and complete information. The existence of both perfect information and no transaction costs ultimately gives rise to Walras concept ofà tà ¢tonnement or the process of identifying the market clearing price for all goods to secure general equilibrium.
